Kaidah Tafsir

Dengan menguasai bahasa Arab, atau merasa paham terhadap arti sejumlah ayat-ayat Al-Quran, atau memahami tema-tema tertentu yang dibicarakan dalam Al-Quran, sebagian dari kita mungkin menganggap dirinya sudah layak menafsirkan Al-Quran. Allah memang telah bersumpah dalam Surah al-Qamar (54): 17 bahwa Dia “mempermudah Al-Quran untuk menjadi pelajaran”. Namun, itu bukan berarti setiap orang dengan mudah dapat memahami secara benar kandungan dan pesan-pesan Al-Quran. Dalam ayat yang lain (QS. Âli ´Imrân [3]: 7) Allah juga mengingatkan kepada siapa saja yang ingin memahami pesan-pesan Al-Quran agar berhati-hati dan mempersiapkan diri. Sebab, di samping yang muhkam, ada juga ayat-ayat yang mutasyâbih. Dan Al-Quran tidak menunjukkan mana yang muhkam dan mana yang mutasyâbih. Untuk itu, diperlukan alat bantu agar pesan-pesan-Nya bisa dipahami secara benar sesuai konteks dan maksud ayat. Pembicaraan tentang alat bantu yang digunakan dalam memahami ayat-ayat Al-Quran tersebut selama ini terangkum dalam lingkup ilmu tafsir yang mencakup pembahasan kaidah tafsir. Jika “tafsir Al-Quran” adalah penjelasan tentang maksud firman-firman Allah sesuai dengan kemampuan manusia, “kaidah tafsir” dapat diartikan sebagai kaidah-kaidah yang membantu seorang penafsir dalam menggali makna atau pesan-pesan Al-Quran dan menjelaskan kandungan ayat- ayat yang muskil. Dan buku ini tentang kaidah tafsir itu: berisi penjelasan tentang syarat, kaidah, dan aturan yang patut diketahui oleh siapa saja yang ingin memahami pesan-pesan Al-Quran secara benar dan akurat. Ditulis oleh seorang pakar tafsir terkemuka, karya ini dapat dikatakan sebagai “buku pertama” dalam bahasa Indonesia tentang kaidah tafsir.

Dan buku ini tentang kaidah tafsir itu: berisi penjelasan tentang syarat, kaidah, dan aturan yang patut diketahui oleh siapa saja yang ingin memahami pesan-pesan Al-Quran secara benar dan akurat.
